After properly seasoning my carbon steel skillet, it cooked like no other. My other coated non sticks are now history. I love that the non stick properties are from the seasoning and not some teflon coating. After seasoning it, I made hash browns, sausage, and eggs in that order and everything cooked perfectly with no sticking whatsoever. I thought I would have trouble with the eggs since I cooked the pan sausage first but everything slid around the pan with ease and the taste was great too. I'm buying a bigger one now, the 10.25 inch is nice and will see regular use, but sometimes you may need a larger cooking surface if friends and family are visiting. I'm 100% satisfied and kind of kicking myself for not getting one sooner.

This pan looks ugly after seasoning but it is the best for cooking. Its non-stick properties are amazing. It's the only pan I can use to cook meatballs without having them stick and break apart.

I have spent waaay too much money on la-dee-da high cuisine pans, falling for the speels about complex construction and big name chef endorsements, only to be underwhelmd by their so-so performance. This pan was a big surprise. World Cuisine 7 1/8 Inch Black Steel Frying PanIt is solid, heavy, smooth and well balanced. After seasoning food moves around the pan with ease. It cooks and browns evenly with less heat which means foods are moister and there is less smoke. You will be joyfully using this as your everyday pan. I thought the metal handle was going to be an issue but I have been grabbing it bare handed while cooking without any problem. After seasoning this pan may look like the proverbial "ugly puppy" but you gonna love it anyway. A great buy.
