First of all the one star reveiw must be dumb, or rich because its a great looking watch and has lots of satisfied customers(It has lifetime warrenty, just get it fixed!). I just got this watch not to long ago and I like it alot. Already I have got complements on it. When you get the watch it says to wind it up 4-6 times before wearing it, but I couldnt wait that long to wear it. I only wound it up 2 times and so far each time it has lasted me about 35-40 hours. They ask you to do that becasue its supposed to improve the watch's gears and make it run better. This watch looks fantastic! The blue is much more shiny (so are the gears etc.) than they are in the picture, which I like alot. The shipping only took one day to get here and I was extremely satisified with the product. It's deffinately a classy watch with a modern day but also a oldened look to it with the visible gears. Great for all ages.
Pros: Great watch. Looks good, had many compliments. Nice solid heavy feel to it. Easy to wind when not in use. Love the life-time warrenty on this product, Company's only do that when they know its a good solid item...and it is! Its more shiny in person than it is in the picture. Would reccommend to friend or family. Cheaper than other store prices especially with free one day shipping. No battery needed of course, just wiggle your arm. Looks more exspensive than it really is. I plan to keep this watch for a verrrryyy long time since it does have a lifetime warrenty and it looks amazing.
Cons: The watch is a little fast. After about 24 hours it was about 3 or 4 seconds fast but that wasnt bad, and I'm sure it will slow to the right speed the more I wind it up. It also has a little flake of dust or something on the inside of the watch (cant notice unless you stare closley at it) right under the glass so I cant do anything about it! Hoping once I get it oiled and such the watch guy can maybe get it out. The links also scratch a little easy. Other than that its a great watch :)

The watch does not keep the time right, either runs to quick or to slow after setting the correct time with in 24 hrs it's off by a few min. The clasp broke after the 1st month you can only buy a new band through what I guess is their repair facility no website you have to call and the band is $20.00 plus shipping ? After 10 months the glass broke but that would by my fault. Compared to other automatic watches I own this one is very heavy 182 grams ( 6.4 oz. ).

I've seen some wonderful reviews of this product and I was really hopeful that I would be adding to that pool but unfortunately I couldn't drink the kool-aid.
The watch's self-winding mechanism (rotor etc.) failed to work properly even though I wear my watch 24/7 (too lazy to take off for sleep). Either the rotor was not winding the clockspring properly or there was some other mechanical defect but I noticed the watch would "stop" for short periods of time. On day two, I was 20 minutes late for a meeting so I became suspicious of my new watch. Over the next two days the watch stopped three more times. One morning I woke up and the watch was stopped dead at 2AM. Even if you gave the benefit of the doubt that the rotor doesn't turn while you are sleeping, by stopping at 2AM it would mean the watch only had a 2 hour power reserve (went to bed at midnight). Woke up and printed my RETURN GOODS FORMS.
It would be unfair to rate this watch solely on the fact that I got a bad one so let me give you my take on the rest:
1. The watch looks cheap. Despite having the 'skeleton' face and seeing the movement (which is fun) the rest of the watch face looks very cheap. The lack of rotating bezel renders the diver's marks useless. And because the bezel in part of the watch body it blends thus creating a cheap look (it's impersonating a function it doesn't have).
2. No Date - may or may not be a deal breaker for you but for an everyday watch date is important to me.
IMHO you can do much better than this for the same price. Take a look at the Amazon ORIENT Watch store. I have two of these watches now and both are stunning and <$150. If you can invest an extra $100 ($250) you can get yourself a watch on Amazon that you'll possibly hand down to your children. This Armitron is NOT that watch.
